Whether you're brand new to yoga or returning to refine the basics, this course offers a grounding space to learn, ask questions and build a practice that feels good in your body.

Over four consecutive Sundays, we’ll unpack the foundations of movement, breath and alignment so you can step into any class feeling supported and empowered.

Curriculum includes:
• Sun Salutations, step-by-step
• Functional alignment in standing and seated shapes
• Breathwork for ease and stability
• How to link breath and movement
• Foundational Vinyasa flow transitions

Each session is crafted with clear intention and is layered with consideration on the prior week's learnings.

An idea on how each week looks is as follows:
- Week 1: Yoga background and breath meditation.
Focus on the basis and background of Yoga
Introducing a daily movement practice.
Self diagnosing the ‘status’ of your body, the support you require and changes you would like to make.
- Week 2: Building strength and mobility, focusing on knees, hips and shoulders.
Introducing sun salutations and the importance of alignment and self modification for safe practice.
Using the breath for relaxation and focus.
- Week 3: Nurturing balance, both physically and spiritually.
Introducing twists and inversions for lowering blood pressure and de-stressing naturally.
Examining the source of common body movement challenges such as tight shoulders, hips, chest and back and what to do about them.
- Week 4: Bringing it all together into a 60 minute flow.
Refining and consolidating the finer details of the movements and areas to focus on.
Creating a plan to build on efforts to date and to continue the yoga journey.

This course is purchased as a package that includes:
- Four consecutive workshop style classes every Sunday morning in February  (10.30am-12pm)
- 4x Sunday Afternoon Chill Flow Class (4-5pm)
- 8 visits to our full timetable of Flow, Yin, Mellow, Conditioning & Pilates classes between February 1 and 22.
